Great Southern Computer Services actively uses and promotes Linux as a viable alernative to Microsoft Windows & Apple OS X.  There are many distrobutions of Linux :  Ubuntu is the most widely used desktop version of Linux.

Our personal preference goes to Debian/GNU Linux (Business Workstations and Servers) while PinguyOS (based on GNU/Linux & Ubuntu) is an exceptional Operating System for day-to-day use and certainly deserves a mention here.
